Spanish Treasures is a directory of holiday accommodation in Spain. Most of the listed properties are of the following types:

• Small privately run rural hotels. These are often run by the owner or owners themselves, so they naturally have their own character and charm.
• Rural houses. These are often renovated farm or village buidlings that have been tastefully equipped with all modern conveniences. The building may have been divided into two or more apartments, each of which would typically sleep between two and five people, in any case, it is not usually possible to rent out individual rooms in this type of accommodation. The apartment/house is rented out in its entirety by the night, weekend or for longer periods. Reductions are often possible for longer stays, especially during off-season.
• Bed and Breakfasts. This is not really a category of accommodation in itself but more an English-influenced way of referring to the above two types of accommodation which often offer breakfasts and sometimes evening meals. However, there are some properties that define themselves as Bed and Breakfasts - these tend to be more prevalent in Andalucia and coastal areas in the south of Spain and are sometimes run by British owners.

We strive to offer our visitors a selection of quality accommodation that will add to the enjoyment of their stay while in Spain. Spain has a great deal more to offer than sun, sangria and crowded beaches (although it does have that too, if that's what you're looking for!) and for that reason we prefer to list properties that are off the beaten track and which will allow you to experience the best of what the country has to offer.

We have travelled extensively throughout Spain, particularly north of Madrid, and have had the pleasure of staying in many varied and beautiful locations. Our experience has led us to create this website with the aim of helping other visitors to the country to make the most of their visit and to reach some of the less well-known parts of the Spain, as well as giving some well deserved publicity to some of the rural properties available throughout the peninsula and its islands.
